is there a website you can track cell phones using gps?

my friend was telling about something they saw on tv about how you can type someones cell # in and it will bring up a satellite image of where that cell phone is. just wondering if anybody knows how to do this. thx

Don't think so, the technology exist tho, for sure. the emergency and breakdown services have that to hand 24/7.

technically i think it would be GPRS rather than GPS by the way (General Packet Radio Service) (i think).
